Sometimes the perfect piece that you’re looking for just doesn’t exist… yet. That’s why a big part of what I do is making one of a kind, custom pieces. Some folks bring me a blank canvas in the form of an empty space, like an opening next to the arm of a couch that needs a complimenting end table, or a space for a table that needs to match a set of chairs. Others come to me with ideas, maybe something simple like changing an accent wood on a piece they saw in my gallery, or maybe something they dreamt up all on their own. Whatever the case may be, I love diving into the design process with you. I love taking a project from a fuzzy daydream and making it into something beautiful that will last for generations.

Here’s some questions to get you started. You don’t need have all the answers, just tell me what you can and we’ll go from there:

  • What type of piece is it that you want?

  • What are the piece’s rough dimensions?

  • What kind of woods are you interested in?

  • How many of them are we making?

  • What room will it be going in?

  • Are there any space restrictions? (ex: does the piece need to fit into a nook?)

  • Would you like this done by a specific date?

  • Do you have a budget for this project?

  • Are there references you can show me that inspired your idea?

    • This can be anything! A piece from my gallery, a picture of a room, a vase, a toy car, a sketch. Help me see what you have in mind.
