As human beings, we are all to some extent affected emotionally by our surroundings. Because of this, we have a unique opportunity in our own homes, to design spaces not only unique to our own personal tastes and styles, but also specific to how we would like to feel while we are in them. In our bedroom we can create an aesthetically refreshing environment which allows us to relax, let our guard down, and take a moment for ourselves after holding space for all of the agendas the world sends our way throughout the day. In our living room we can express our creativity while building a comfortable space that invites our friends and family to share their thoughts, their passions, their hopes and dreams, and maybe a glass of wine…or 4.
Now, maybe you know how you want the space within your home to feel, but you don’t have the time or the desire to curate the furniture to accomplish this. Maybe you know the aesthetic you are looking for, but haven’t been able to find the pieces that fit within it. Or maybe you have an eclectic style and you’re looking for a little help making a room more cohesive. Whether its with a piece of furniture I’ve already designed, a piece we design together, or a piece you dream up on your own, I want to help you make it happen.
As an engineer by education, I think that furniture should not only be pleasing to your eye, but should also endure both stylistically and structurally long enough for your great great grandkids to be able to make a few bucks off of it on craigslist.
